All of our retreats are designed to give you the tools required to help restore natural balance and harmony to every aspect of your life, from the very basic need of sleep to what it means to find true fulfilment in whatever you do.

This 5 day retreat is designed to nourish your body, mind and soul, in the ideal environment to reacquaint you with much needed relaxation, quietness of mind, vitality of spirit and a reignited zest for life. Located on the South Island of New Zealand, a 40 minute drive from Queenstown, this zen inspired luxury wellness retreat is one of our handpicked travel destinations where you can discover what it feels like to feel your absolute best.

Our workshop is a blend of self discovery, personal contemplation and group discussion where you will discover exactly what you need in order to find restful sleep and nourishment of your body and soul. Run by our expert naturopath and natural sleep practitioner Tristian Kelly, you will be expertly guided in ways to improve your wellbeing. Starting with sleep as one of the key pillars to health, you will learn everything you need to feel motivated and energised.

Queenstown is known as the adventure capital of the world, a place where no two consecutive days are alike.

Aro Hā was born of the intention to create a facility that exemplifies a more resilient localized living solution where the best practices for solving the essentials of life have been implemented.  The 8.4-hectare site (about 21 acres) sits on a sub-alpine terrace with expansive views of Lake Wakatipu.  Ancient traditions have been merged with modern technology.  So, while crops are stored in cellars, refrigerated by the ambient temperature of the earth, the site is monitored by a state-of-the-art building management system, allowing efficient conversion of sun and water to energy.

The vision is Zen inspired luxury, where the luxury comes from intelligent design, function of space, and exceptional programming, rather than opulence or excess

Tristian Kelly

Tristian Kelly, founder of Counting Seashells, is a naturopath, nutritionist, Western Herbal Medicine Practitioner and curator of wellness retreats around the globe. After a successful career as a creative in the advertising and film industry, Tristian found herself burnt out and with longstanding chronic insomnia. After many failed attempts and a fortune spent in trying to find a treatment that really worked, Tristian took matters into her own hands and took it upon herself to learn everything there was to know about the natural treatment of insomnia. After some years working with patients, Tristian decided to create a workshop that would package everything she learnt to help people discover their own path to better sleep. Her passion for promoting the benefits of sleep remains firmly focussed in The Sleep Awakening workshop along with the key pillars of wellbeing including nutrition, lifestyle factors, relaxation and meditation, physical exercise and cognitive functioning.

Tim Murray

Tim Murray is a workshop co-presenter. A trauma in his early teens resulted in sleep problems which he lived with into his mid-thirties when health issues necessitated that he urgently address his lack of sleep. Through techniques including cognitive behaviour therapy (CBT), psychoeducation, eye movement desensitisation and reprogramming (EMDR) and hypnosis, he became a great sleeper. Within five years he had married, started a family and built a successful global business, which spawned a new set of sleep challenges, which required different solutions: neuro-linguistic programming (NLP), time management, relaxation therapies, mindfulness and meditation. He began sharing his insomnia cures and life design knowledge with his partner, friends and work colleagues, which led to professional coaching engagements in the corporate sector. When Tristian and Tim met and shared their stories – and their very different approaches to overcoming insomnia – they realised they had between them a wealth of proven, highly complementary resources which have formed the foundation of The Sleep Awakening and Life Mastery workshops.
